Community Engagement is...the process of working collaboratively with and through groups of people affiliated by geographic proximity, special interest, or similar situations to address issues affecting the well-being of those people.

In order to win the hearts and minds of the community and express the Love of God we see it as absolutely imperative to first of all ENGAGE the community. We engage community by establishing a number of projects that meet the need in the community. At present we are focusing primarily on children and youth.

We run a very vibrant Transformers Kids Club program every Saturday with approximately 100 children involved. We employ a full time teacher to run this program. The teacher also moves from school to school-educating children on Biblical Transformational principals.

Our objective is:

To replicate this program in all the surrounding compounds, towns and villages.

Recently we initiated a Sports Development Program catering for ages of 9-18.There is no organized sporting structure in Livingstone that caters for these age groups.

We focus on rugby, football, volleyball and netball. We have approximately 400 children/youth attending our program every Saturday mornings; we are limited to one fairly good community center in the whole of Livingstone. This is a hugely successful project. We are now in the process of raising funds to employ a full time sports/youth director at US$250 per month. The biggest challenge is the lack of decent fields and community centers in the community.

Sport is a catalyst for the economic development of individuals, communities, and nations. It is a powerful tool that we can use to improve the well being of society, to teach important values and life skills including honest endeavor, self confidence, teamwork, communication, inclusion, discipline, respect, and fair play. This can only be done effectively at institutional and community levels when deliberate efforts are made to transfer sport values to normal life in the community.

Review of work accomplished in the space of 13 months.
