Transformation Livingstone projects under way

August 31, 2018

Its been a long while since our last News Letter. Both Judy and I have been very busy between having visitors, planting the Church and doing what we can to mobilise the Church to work together in serving the community. We are finding the whole experience a real challenge both spiritually and physically. At times we feel as though we’re breaking through and times we feel as though we are not making any inroads at all. We are navigating a course we’ve never been down before. We’re certainly learning from our mistakes and our need to rely and trust our Heavenly Father for guidance and provision.

Transformation Livingstone Update

We are continuing to train Pastors in community involvement with two courses running each week for 12 weeks. We have been involved in working alongside the community to clean up the City in response to a national initiative to keep the Nation Clean

and green.

We have initiated a youth sporting project to win the hearts and minds of the young people and keep them active during these difficult times of unemployment and the terrible issues that stem from unemployment. We are so grateful for an Australian supporter who has generously donated a number of soccer balls.

The Church we are Planting is within the grounds of a national boarding school. The students that attend the school are talented students selected by the government to attend the school. We have the awesome privilege of having the opportunity to influence these young people, with many of them slowly coming to our services. An office has been provided for us at the school to operate from and make ourselves available to the students to talk too.We are still in the process of renovating the school hall and raising funds for a Borehole. One of our greatest needs is a bus to transport our Growing Children’s ministry, students and pick up the locals for Church on Sunday. Transport is very unreliable here, some of our members walk over one and a half hours to get to Church.

Please continue to pray for us and our various needs e.g.

  • continued financial support for us and projects.

  • For a bus, we have launched a gofund and have raised approximately $1500.

  • For Computers and a data projectors for equipping Leaders.

Your encouragement, prayer and financial support would be much appreciated.

Love and Blessings Patrick and Judy Humberstone.
