Livingstone Focus 2019
Hi everyone, it’s been a long time since our last news letter. As many of you know Judy and I have been travelling. We had to return to Perth for doctors, dental and optician
appointments. Someone mentioned that it was a long way for check ups. Unfortunately I have a device connected to my heart that can’t be tested here in Africa. Secondly I had extensive work done on my teeth. All part of the ageing process.
None of our children live in Perth anymore and are all living on different continents doing ministry. So Judy and I extended ourselves financially and visited each family on route to Australia. It was fantastic seeing them and we now have a point of reference knowing where they live, how they live, what they’re doing and last but not least how they’re looking after our grandchildren. It was a great trip. We are now back in Livingstone to pick up where we left off..
FOUR MAIN FOCUSES
We continue to do our community discipleship training: Disciple Nations Alliance course which is designed to help Christians engage their communities in transforming ways.
We managed to return back to Livingstone armed with a few more computers and projectors for our course facilitators.
2. SPORTS DEVELOPMENT
Sports Development Program: with a high unemployment rate the young people are floundering without purpose. With this in mind we purpose to develop a program with various sporting codes. At present there is no scheduled sporting programs in the city to keep the ages between 10-18 occupied and involved.
3. KIDS CLUB
Kids Club Program: This Program is designed to teach children Transformational principals preparing them for a future of hope and success.
4. MICRO LOANS:
Micro Loans: this project is designed to assist financially the launch of seed projects that benefit a family or community. A seed project may be a business, it may be a community development program etc. In some cases the loan is repaid and invested into another project.
JOIN OUR JOURNEY AND PARTNER WITH US IN MAKING A DIFFERENCE
In order to make a difference we need financial assistance to support our projects.
One of our greatest needs at the moment is to have an administration hub in town from which we administrate our projects and run our discipleship classes. We have found an old building that would cost us about $5000 to renovate. All contributions would certainly help. If you can contribute towards our hub it would be so appreciated.
